with production by yours truly!
The whole idea behind my title Connect The Dots. is very literal. Just like those old puzzles you used to play around with as a kid, you draw the lines between each numbered dot and eventually you get a completed picture. If that isn't how you would define the politics behind the music business, you haven't been in this business long enough to compete.

Mauikai (a great new artist I'm just now getting to know)
and "Big Lu" hamming it up for the camera...
What initially drew me to Luis is the fact that -just like me- he is such a firm believer in the "strength in numbers" theory, and keeping strong personal connections within the industry. I've always been a team player, and that's a major part of the Well Done fabric too, as made evident by the meeting Luis held yesterday. It was a forum for Eternia and I to reconnect after a long hiatus... the last time I saw her was at our session for my album because she's been hiding out in Canada with producer MoSS for a hot minute creating something so nutty... and a chance for me to finally meet #1 Shadyville DJ Dre Boogs, the man behind my mixtape, in person:

I wouldn't even fuss wit' us, and I'M ME!
Eternia brought along DJ Sav One from Fat Beats and her homegirl Mauikai, and just like that, it's a room full of creative people sharing great ideas and even greater music... a microcosim for the industry and a prime example of the reasoning behind the theme and title of my album. We got it all on tape, you'll see!

Me (in my BluBlockers!) with Luis
and incredible Canadian MC Eternia
I gotta get back to work, but before I go I want to share this with you since I haven't been able to get enough of it lately for some reason. My vinyl collection is dumb large not just because I've been hitting the bargain bins since I'm 13 to construct beats of my own, but also because about half of my collection consists of what got me into diggin' in the crates in the first place... my love for THE ORIGINALS. The shit that my favorite producers flipped to achieve their biggest hits. The excitement of hunting those gems down and making them a part of my collection never went away, and I'm still in love with the whole process. So I leave you with this...
It's a must that you heard of us yo we murderous,
