Needless to say it's a really busy time for your boy, and I'm enjoying every second of it. Over the course of the last few days we have also been shooting the music video for my first official single off the album. It's called "Gender Bender" and it features Canadian MC extraordinaire
Eternia as well as the incredibly talented
Miz Metro on the hook. (Make sure you pick up her latest release
Unlimited, as Danny and I have a joint on there that we're very proud of.)
"Gender Bender" the song and video is an updated take on Ice-T's classic "Lifestyles of the Rich and Infamous" from one of my all-time favorite albums, Original Gangster. Ice-T made a comical song about being a touring hip-hop artist. We added onto that lunacy by also discussing the differences between being a male and a female touring hip-hop artist! There was so much to write about, wow. Click on the pic below to experience the inspiration:
Iceberg... one of the best to ever do it.
Before I get outta here I want to thank everyone who worked on the song and the shoot for helping me bring my dreams to fruition: Danny, Big Lu, of course E and Miz Metro, Louis, Sandman, Erin, can't forget Ethan and Nadine, Daylon, Adam, Jonny, Shevon, Jah and the whole crew man... we made something really special and I can't wait to share it with the world. You're all brilliant. We will be unveiling the finished product in a few weeks, but until then enjoy these behind-the-scenes pics:
Shooting day 1,
